Welcome to the Boneyard Community
These days have been created to give past alumni the chance to revisit the forge and continue the journey of learning the skills of blacksmithing & bladesmithing.
There is no set curriculum or criteria for these days - participants can come with their own designs and projects, and work on them here at the forge (within reason according to their current skill set). One of our instructors will be on hand at all times to ensure safety, to assist with the shaping of projects, and helping to answer any questions the attendee may have.
Should attendees not have a specific project in mind, we can offer multiple suggestions and come up with something suitable together.
The booking fee gains access to all of the equipment & tools here at the forge, and includes consumables such as gas, grinding discs, & partially used grinding belts.
Any materials required, e.g. steel, handle blocks, new grinding belts etc., will be invoiced & paid for at the end of the day. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own material to be used in the projects - however please discuss this with the instructor prior to commencement of the project.
Note: It is a mandatory requirement to have attended one of our courses at Boneyard London prior to booking on, or attending, any of these community days. Anyone who books and has not attended previously will not be admitted, and no refunds will be given.
Timings / Admin
- Each day will begin at 1000, and finish at 1600.
- Safety equipment is provided, but please ensure that you wear non-flammable clothing and sturdy shoes (preferably leather).
- Tea / Coffee / Biscuits will be provided. There are many local shops/cafes nearby for lunch.
- Please note, due to space and safety issues, spectators are not permitted at any time.
