Our forging experience days are extremely popular and a great way to motivate your staff – or indeed to entertain important clients/customers. At the end of the day the participants will leave with a keepsake to remind them of their team-bonding activity, whilst having shared lots of fun and laughter.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1

Booking Process

From initial contact we will work with your team to develop a package that suits your group numbers, experience and interests. Once you select the main forging activity, we have a variety of value-adding options, from catering, external venue hire, projector/screen hire, to ensure your day is tailor made to your specific requirements.

2

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

On arrival, you will be greeted by your instructor who will introduce you to the forge. You'll be given a chance to grab a coffee/tea & biscuit, before the instructor walks you through the day's agenda, answering any initial questions. Following this, we will get you kitted out with safety equipment, and you'll be given a full safety briefing.

3

Lighting the Forge

The forge will be lit! While this heats up you will select and use the tools of the day, suitable for your size, strength, and ability. The instructor will ensure everyone is comfortable and has their dedicated anvil/workstation ready to go.

4

THE FORGING PROCESS

The day operates as a "we go, you go" process, where the activity is broken down into manageable steps, with the instructor creating a demo piece in front of your eyes as you watch and learn (and ask any questions)! After each step is demonstrated, we will switch places and you and the team will complete the step, with us watching and helping guide along the process. Depending on the activity chosen, there will be elements of single-person work, and elements of teamwork. Photos & videos are encouraged any any time to capture the fun!

5

Debrief & Photos

After the activity is finished, we will have a wind-down and take time to answer any last questions, and ensure the forged items are wrapped up safely for transport home. And of course, capture the memories & fun with some team photos.

GUIDELINES FOR TAKING PART

Our experience day packages can be physically demanding and have the potential for minor injury. Therefore, please seek advice from your doctor or our booking team if you’re unsure.

Be sure to dress accordingly, remembering that in the colder months it can get pretty chilly inside the workshop, despite the fires! Please wear non-flammable clothing and suitable footwear.

Please ensure you review the guidance on our website and what’s sent to you ahead of the event. And always listen to the instructions of our expert team on the day.
