This course is designed for children aged between 8 and 14 years old who would love to try their hand at blacksmithing.
On this course the participants will be taught step-by-step how to forge a beautiful hook, suitable for use in the house, perfect for hanging on a wall or the back of a bedroom door.
This course has been designed fully as an experience for younger children who may need some more support during the course, and we have adjusted the equipment sizes (e.g. hammers) to be more suitable.
Agenda
- Arrival, introductions & course overview
- Safety demonstration, including full PPE for all participants
- Step-by-step instruction to forge the hook
