Kids Club: Introduction to Blacksmithing

£75.00
ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
This course is designed for children aged between 11 and 15 years old who would love to try their hand at blacksmithing.

On this course the participants will be taught step-by-step how to forge a beautiful hook, suitable for use in the house, perfect for hanging on a wall or the back of a bedroom door.

This course has been designed fully as an experience for children who may need some more support during the course, and we have adjusted the equipment sizes (e.g. hammers) to be more suitable.

These sessions should last approximately 2-2.5hrs.  Older children may be able to do the entire forging on their own, whereas those younger may require some additional assistance from the parents or our instructors.  Care will be taken to ensure everyone finds a comfortable pace reflective of their age, strength & skill level.

Notes
  • By purchasing a space you are purchasing a space for one child and up to one parent/guardian,
  • A single parent/guardian may attend with more than one child, however they must ensure that each child is fully supervised at all times,
  • Our instructors are fully DBS checked, however will not be responsible for supervision of children.
